Imagine a morning without an alarm clock. You open the window and, instead of the noise of traffic, you hear birds singing, leaves rustling in the trees, and the scent of freshly cut grass. This is how a day begins at Akacjowe Zacisze. Our guesthouse is located in a peaceful part of the Bieszczady Mountains, far from crowded tourist resorts, surrounded by rolling green hills, forests, and meadows. It is a place created for those who wish to slow down for a few days, escape the rush of everyday life, and rediscover the peace that is often missing from daily routines. Akacjowe Zacisze is surrounded by a beautiful 3-hectare garden filled with roses, azaleas, daisies, and sunflowers. Along the winding garden paths grow birches, hornbeams, oaks, and alders, providing welcome shade even on the warmest summer days. Here, you can wander without a destination, relax with a book beneath the trees, or simply enjoy the beauty of nature and the soothing silence. Our garden also features a vegetable patch and a herb garden where tomatoes, zucchini, leeks, basil, and fragrant herbs are grown. During the season, strawberries, raspberries, currants, and wild strawberries ripen in the sunshine, and many of them find their way onto the breakfast table for our guests. The heart of the house is a cosy lounge with a library filled with books about the Bieszczady Mountains, travel, and local history. You'll also find board games, comfortable armchairs, and a peaceful atmosphere perfect for relaxing or enjoying long conversations. Many of our guests return here in the evening with a cup of tea or a glass of wine. One of the most cherished places at Akacjowe Zacisze is our wooden viewing terraces hidden among the trees. They are the perfect spot for a morning coffee, an afternoon with a good book, or simply watching the sun set over the gentle Bieszczady hills.
Akacjowe Zacisze was created from our passion for the Bieszczady Mountains, nature, good food, and a peaceful life close to the natural world. Every day, we strive to create the kind of place where we ourselves would love to spend a relaxing holiday. For our guests, we prepare homemade breakfasts and meals using fresh ingredients, seasonal vegetables, and aromatic herbs grown in our own garden. We are constantly inspired by the culinary traditions of the Carpathians, discovering old recipes of the Lemkos, Boykos, and Pogórzanie people, while also learning new techniques and flavours that later find their way to our guests' table. A large part of our time is devoted to caring for our beautiful 3-hectare garden. Every year, we plant new flowers, shrubs, and fruit trees, including apple, pear, and plum trees. We continue to create new places for relaxation and make sure that the garden delights visitors in every season of the year. We are also constantly improving Akacjowe Zacisze itself. We enhance our guest rooms, shared spaces, and the surroundings of the house, adding thoughtful details, books, decorations, and amenities to make every stay even more comfortable and memorable. In our cosy lounge, you'll find a library filled with books about the Bieszczady Mountains, the Carpathians, travel, and local history. There are also board games to enjoy during relaxed evenings with a cup of tea, freshly brewed coffee, or a glass of wine. As passionate explorers of the Bieszczady ourselves, we are always happy to share our favourite places with our guests. Some of the locations we particularly love include the glider airfield in Bezmiechowa, the panoramic viewpoint on Holica Hill, and the Open-Air Museum in Sanok. We are equally delighted to recommend lesser-known walking trails, scenic hills, hidden viewpoints, historic wooden churches, and charming places that rarely appear in guidebooks.
Akacjowe Zacisze is the perfect base for exploring the beauty of the Bieszczady Mountains. Within just a short drive, you'll find some of the region's most spectacular viewpoints. We especially recommend the Bezmiechowa Glider Airfield, where you can admire breathtaking mountain panoramas while watching gliders and paragliders soaring through the sky, as well as the Holica Viewpoint, offering sweeping views of the Bieszczady mountain meadows and endless forests. Just a 30-minute drive from our guesthouse lies Lake Solina, one of the most popular attractions in southeastern Poland. Here you can stroll across the famous Solina Dam, visit the hydroelectric power station, enjoy a scenic boat cruise, or take the gondola lift to the top of Jawor Mountain for unforgettable views. If you enjoy spending time on the water, we also recommend renting an electric boat and exploring the lake at your own pace. History enthusiasts should not miss Ulucz, home to one of the oldest wooden Orthodox churches in Poland. The surrounding area is rich in beautifully preserved wooden churches and traces of the fascinating Lemko and Boyko cultures that once flourished throughout the Carpathians. Nearby, you'll also discover peaceful swimming ponds and picturesque oak-lined avenues, perfect for a relaxing afternoon. A visit to Sanok is highly recommended. The town is home to Poland's largest Open-Air Museum of Folk Architecture, where you can explore traditional wooden villages and learn about the region's cultural heritage. Art lovers will also appreciate the largest collection of works by the renowned Polish painter Zdzisław Beksiński, whose extraordinary paintings are exhibited in the Sanok Historical Museum. Throughout the year, Sanok also hosts concerts, regional fairs, and cultural events.
