Our eco-house has been build basing on ecoscaping rules. The house is suited up-to 5 persons (additional bed available). Unique, comfortable and cosy place for your holidays. The natural environment ensures you to have rest close to the nature. Spend your holidays with family or/and actively: skiing, running, snorkeling (one of the most impressive river snorkeling in Poland). If you are runner or triathlete you will enjoy great roads for cycling and running (forests) and lakes for open-water swimming. Bicycle and kayaking whole year available. Russian sauna, ski instructor, massage - individual order; ski, bicycle, kayaks, snorkelling equipment - rent. Breakfast and Dinner on individual order. Our house is located close to the Czarna Hańcza river and Wigierski National Park (#WigryNationalPark) in the landscape offen called Polish Shire (#Tokien) or Polish Switzerland. Foot distance to the lakes. 4 km to the Wigry Lake - one of the most beautiful lake in Europe. Sudovia Landscape Park - you may reach by car or bicycle. Only 150 km to Vilnius (Lithuania).
We are nature protection and conservation professionals. Based on your interest: nature, eco-social issues etc., we may assist you by visiting four amazing national parks of the Eastern Poland: Biebrza National Park, Wigry National Park, Narew National Park and Bialowieza National Park (#bialowieza). We are the member of LT&C - Linking Tourism and Conservation international organisation.
Our house is located in buffer zone of the Wigry National Park close to the Czarna Hancza - the longest river of the Sudovia Land (142 km) in Buda Ruska village. The village was founded by Old-Ritualist (Old-Orthodoxy). You may still found here excamples of Old-Ritualists' houses or visit foto exhibition showing their life (Chlewogaleria). The Hancza River flows through the Hancza and Wigry Lakes and joins the Augustow Canal system. The section beyond Lake Wigry makes an attractive kayaking route. The river bottom thrives with a variety of water plants, such as arrowheads, club-rushes and nuphars. The river provides habitat for common kingfishers, otters, muskrats and beavers. There are 17 fish species living in the waters of Czarna Hańcza (4 are under protection. The trout is present in the swift-flowing river sections. From Buda Ruska you may walk to nearby located lakes. It takes couple of minutes to get to the Lake Wigry by car. The Park is a site of 42 lakes with the largest Wigry Lake. Driving to the North from city of Suwalki you may visit Suwalki Landscape Park which protects one of the most beautiful corners of the northeast Poland called Polish Switzerland.
