A place where you can breathe deeply and soothe a racing mind to the accompaniment of birdsong and the chirping of crickets. Enjoy the scent of the forest, the proximity of the river, beautiful sunsets, and the atmospheric sight of the woods steaming after a storm. A small, two-person cabin with a terrace facing a private grove. The cabin is part of a larger property where you can safely park your car, yet it has an exit leading away from the main yard area. It is a secluded spot—neighbors are nearby but out of sight—frequently visited by flycatchers, willow warblers, cranes, and hoopoes, as well as deer and wild boars. The cabin sits in the buffer zone of Wigry National Park, offering access to fantastic, scenic cycling trails. The river is just a five-minute walk away. In the area, you can rent bicycles, kayaks, a river SUP board, or a wood-fired hot tub. The cabin was built through our own labor, using as much recycled material as possible; for instance, the interior wooden flooring was restored from the original building, and the terrace was constructed from planks that had been stored there. While the floorboards may be slightly uneven, they lend the place a unique character.

I spent the last ten years in London working in fashion design. Now, I have returned home to a clearing surrounded by the forest that once belonged to my grandmother, Stefania. As a child, I used to come here with my sisters for the most wonderful holidays—feasting on wild raspberries and blueberries, helping with the hay harvest, and spending entire days swimming in the Czarna Hańcza River, which winds through the area. The scent and sight of the forest after a storm will stay with me forever, and I want to share the beauty of experiencing this place with you.
