Muczne is a beautiful village placed at the very heart of Bieszczady, just about 2,5 h drive from the nearest airport (Rzeszow). It is set at the base of Bukowe Berdo mountain, seen by many as the most beautiful in the whole Bieszczady area. It is a paradise for those who are looking for a place with forgotten paths, silence, and beautiful surroundings. Seeing a wolf, deer, bear, or lynx crossing your road is nothing unusual here, so don't forget your camera! There is a nationwide known bison sanctuary, beavers observation point, plenty of running/biking paths, educational centre, and many more. In the early 80' Muczne was a closed area, where only the high profile politicians were allowed. It was visited, inter alia, by former Yugoslavian leader Josip Tito and Iranian Prince, Abdul Pahlawi. Many vestiges of that times remained in the village. So if you are searching for a place with plenty of outdoor activities, picturesque surroundings, and great food, look no further!
