The Rainforest Inn is an old family estate built on 5 acres that was partially destroyed by past hurricanes. The beautiful buildings are brick and cedar and concrete combined. All of the villas are spacious have high ceilings and fans. We have an amazing yoga room that's peaceful and zen-like, as well as a private hike to a secluded jungle pool. Our salt-water plunge pool is located under a roof that has solar panels on it for heating the pool. The pool is adjacent to the large koi pond and has a deck with tables and lounge chairs for relaxing and catching some rays. Our gardens have been designed to coincide with nature and we would be happy to give you a tour if you ask. We have enough solar panels and batteries to provide us with 75% of our energy use and plan to add more panels in the next year or so. We are offering a "nature treat" experience for nature lovers looking for a peaceful vacation without TV or Radios. All guests are expected to listen to their tablets and phones with their earbuds so all guests can enjoy the nature sounds of the Rainforest. We have three well behaved dogs and a cat on the property.

We are nature lovers who eat mostly plant based meals. Puerto Rico has been our home for the last thirty years and we couldn't imagine living anywhere else. We love sharing our home with other nature lovers and even those who didn't know they were nature lovers until they visited. We have been repairing and renovating the property for the last 15 years and have doing so with many awesome volunteers who have lived with us. In addition to our private hike, which is newly expanded with an upper fork that explores natural jacuzzi pools and waterfalls and opens up in an area where you can pitch a hammock near the river, we are also lucky to be just seven miles from the El Toro trailhead. The El Toro trail goes to the tallest peak in the rainforest. For the whole last third of the trail you will be in the cloud forest of El Yunque. We are also very knowledgable about local restaurants and activities such as horseback riding etc, just let us know that you are interested and we are more than happy to help you plan your vacation. Luquillo beach is nearby and considered one of the most beautiful beaches on the island.
