Overlooking a sparkling swimming pool and an endless sea of rainforest, the WALD HAUS full home rental sits at the feet of El Yunque—a 28,000-acre wild land that is the only tropical rainforest protected by the US Forest System. There’s Roku, a TV, and even WiFi but you likely won’t need it thanks to the property’s luxe outdoor pool, a mountain-view terrace, fire pit, hammocks, one-acre private garden, airy living room, coral-grouted rain shower, open kitchen, bbq, and serene reading nook. The Wald Haus is only an hour away from San Juan, and about 20 minute drive to the Ceiba airport and ferry terminal - which makes it the perfect location to stay before heading or returning from the island of Vieques or Culebra. Supermarkets and pharmacies are only minutes away. The Naguabo Malecon (a famous Boardwalk, only 10 minutes away) features freshly caught fish and delicious dining experience by the water. For the nature-seeking adventurers, there are multitudes of “charcos” and waterfalls to explore and of course El Yunque National Rainforest. The bio bay in Fajardo (one of only five bio bays in the world) is 30 minutes away. In Fajardo you can also book a catamaran snorkeling trip to the uninhabited island of Icacos Island, which forms part of the La Cordillera Reef Nature Reserve. If you just want to relax by the beach, there are plenty of spectacular beaches to choose from within 15-25 minutes from The Wald Haus.
