It is along the Camino route. Around 3 km before Rabacal Center. Good thing if needed to shorten the distance. A family and home experience which is the best, eat with them as there would be no nearby restaurant. Breakfast can also be prepared...

Location is remote but still on the Camino. The family who runs it are experienced pilgrims who knows how to cater to tired guests. Amazing homecooked dinner and homemade yogurt and granola for breakfast. One of the next places I’ve stayed.

We were walking the Camino de Santiago and were very happy to see a little yellow sign along the trail indicating that the property was only 2 km away. This kind of confirmation is very welcome to weary travelers. When we got there, we were met...

The room was thoughtfully and stylishly designed with quality furnishings and exceptional taste. The hosts were really friendly, and I really recommend you to get them to provide you with dinner at a small additional cost. It was delicious!

Casa da Lima is an oasis for walkers, runners and bikers, nestled between the stunning Germanelo and Jerumelo hill-mountains, offering quiete panoramic views. This beautifully newly renovated stone house provides tranquility, where total silence reigns supreme. Situated along an ancient Roman road, Casa da Lima is ideally positioned on the historic routes to Fátima and Santiago de Compostela. This is why we also offer a fully arranged 6-day caminho to Fatima, where it is hard to find shelter. In between many PR and GR hiking trails, a group of up to 4 people, a family and even solo-travelers can enjoy a private comfortable and memorable stay with freshly made beds. A luxury for pilgrims. It is especially suitable for a mindful mini-retreat of 3-days, Casa da Lima offers to guests, because it is in between nature and mountains. You will walk to the very top of Germanelo! The sessions are held on special places outside in nature. After your stay you will leave Casa da Lima rejuvenated, Healthy & Happy.
We relocated from a bustling city in the Netherlands to this hidden gem. Tucked away in a serene setting yet conveniently close to the city Coimbra and the bigger villages of Ansiao, Rabacal and Condeixa, Casa da Lima offers a unique blend of nature and tranquility. We created this space for others to share the beauty of the surrounding landscape with those who appreciate the silence, history, and adventure that it offers—whether you're seeking respite after a busy day in Coimbra, or enjoying a family or hiking holiday. We also offer a mindful retreat of several days, including a silent walk. In The Netherlands Ay Lin followed extensive mindful courses. With our experience in mindfulness, pilgrimages on the one hand and healthy nutrition and delicious cooking on the other, you cannot go wrong. Welcome to Casa da Lima — a peaceful guesthouse surrounded by beautiful Portuguese countryside, just steps away from ancient paths, forests, and silence. Ay Lin became expert in caminhos in Portugal. Also Jaap-Willems passion for organic living keeps him busy in the fruit and permaculture vegetable garden, where he grows and shares healthy, delicious produce. Daughter Cinta, true to Dutch roots, rides her bike to school in Rabaçal, embracing the simplicity and charm of life here. We also offer an immersive culinary countryside stay where we host a culinary experience combining world flavours, health, spices, with homemade dinners, garden ingredients, and take-home spice blends.
Casa da Lima is ideally situated in a tranquil rural setting, just south of Coimbra, Condeixa and Rabaçal, in Central Portugal. Surrounded by nature and offering stunning views, the location provides the perfect balance of seclusion and accessibility. Next to agriculture terrain cows, goats and sheep it is a half-hour drive to Coimbra or Pombal, while Porto is just an hour and a half away, and Lisbon can be reached in two hours. The area is rich in cultural and historical attractions, with several World Heritage Sites within an hour's drive. Visit the renowned Library Joanina of the University of Coimbra, explore the charming town of Tomar with its Templar castle, marvel at the stunning Monastery of Alcobaça, and admire the architectural beauty of the Batalha Monastery. An ideal location for UNESCO sightseeing spots. Immerse yourself in history as you explore the Roman ruins of Conímbriga, the intricate mosaics of Rabaçal, and the Roman house in Santiago da Guarda. Experience the spiritual power of Fátima, Portugal's most revered pilgrimage site, or relax on the beach at Nazaré, or Peniche famous for their towering waves, or in the calmer waters of São Martinho do Porto, and Figueiro da Foz. Nearby there are swimming pools, and 'praia fluviais' to jump into. With so much to see and do, Casa da Lima offers the perfect retreat where you can enjoy the quietness of the countryside while being close to a wealth of sightseeing places and a real charming Portuguese city Coimbra. In the nearby villages of Rabaçal, Alvorge, and Vale Florido—just 3 to 6 kilometers away—you’ll find around five local restaurants and two ‘mini-mercados’ for your convenience. For larger shopping needs, supermarkets in Ansião, Condeixa, and Penela are only a 15-minute drive from Casa da Lima. If you like to have a culinary experience from permaculture garden to your plate at Casa da Lima, you are at the right place.
