Manteigas Lovers accomodations are a magnificent and unique experience, in the heart of a village called Manteigas. We welcome you to enjoy the atmosphere of a manor house built 1790. Here lived a medical doctor called João Isabel, wich had a very important and historic role in the village. The first floor was the first healthcenter of Manteigas, that many still tell us stories about. This home has a garden with a spectacular view to a glacier valley. On a warm day, you can enjoy it from the jacuzzi. If you want to refresh yourself, there is even a spring with a stonetank. There is a place to grill and furniture to sit and appreciate life outside. Inside, an amazing livingroom with woodcrafted ceiling and doors. There is a fireplace, a piano and a balcony with a fantastic view. There are spacious and comfortable bedrooms with a unique architecture and also a renovated modern kitchen, bathroom and laundry, with all the utilities.

Born in Mozambique, raised in Lisbon until i was 21. After living almost two decades in Sweden, I returned to the south of Portugal, to live in a organic and self-sufficient farm, by the sea. When I came to Manteigas to pick up a Serra da Estrela Dog, I was amazed by the area. A few years later, I fell in love with this house, which I have been dedicating my last 6 years to. A creative, challenging and inspiring project. A dream that is coming true. I would like to share it with you. Welcome! Nascida em Moçambique, criada em Lisboa até aos 21 anos. Depois de viver quase duas décadas na Suécia, regressei ao Sul de Portugal, para viver numa quinta biológica e auto-suficiente, à beira mar. Ao vir a Manteigas buscar um cão Serra da Estrela fiquei deslumbrada com a zona. Alguns anos depois viria-me a apaixonar por esta casa, à qual me tenho dedicado nos últimos seis anos. Adventure yourself in the wonderful mountains of Portugal, a divine place where natural beauty blooms. People are very kind. For many centuries, this has been the land of the Shepherds who herded flocks of sheep and goats, with the help of Serra da Estrela Dogs. Here you can taste one of the best cheese in the world "Queijo da Serra da Estrela" or discover the traditional tissue of wool called "burel". There are wool industries to visit with ancient crafts, as "Ecolã" and "Burel factory". Serra da Estrela and its 9 municipalities is a World Unesco Geopark. With stunning landscapes and geoplaces, it is a four seasons destination: It can snow in the winter, (the higest point of Portugal), a spring with flowers and thousand shades of green, and a colorful autumn - perfect for an active lifestyle in nature, as hiking, skiing, climbing, trail running and BTT.
