The breathtakingly beautiful Douro wine region has become one of Portugal’s must-see destinations. Commonly referred to as the Douro Valley, the UNESCO World Heritage landscape actually extends way beyond the Douro River and is dotted with towns, villages and wine estates. Luxuriously stylish PH in Alto Douro Vinhateiro is a 25-minute ride from the main city called Torre de Moncorvo with free guest parking. The historical main building is embedded in the historical village of Urros and surrounded by vineyards with a selection of tastefully decorated bedrooms and lounges. The charming building now offers family rooms as well as extra doubles, most with views of the Douro Valley, you can also stay in our independent 1, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom apartments.

One of the famous historical Douro villages, Urros, from the Municipality of Torre de Moncorvo, has strong ties to the Alto Douro wine region and has something to offer in terms of culture and tradition, giving you an insight into Portuguese history and rural lifestyles both past and present. In Urros you’ll find the remains of Iron Age settlements, Roman roads and bridges, Romanesque churches, Cistercian monasteries and 17th-century palaces.
