I’m Inês, living in Soure since 2022, when I traded city traffic for birdsongs and founded Quinta da Carvalheira: a learning and regeneration centre, and now a coliving space, where nature sets the stage for new experiences and unexpected connections. I'm a sailor adventurer, passionate about the sea and curious about people. I believe the best growth happens when we leave the training room behind and get a little dirt on our hands. I’m also a Professional Coach (ICF) with a Master's in HR Management.

Quinta da Carvalheira has been in the host's family for 300 years. Over time, as newer generations moved to the city, the Quinta was left abandoned and waiting until 2022, when the host felt the call to return to her roots. Seeking a deeper connection with nature and a more meaningful way of life, Inês finally decided to move here, rebuild, restore and invest in this healing place. The farm's restoration was guided by the principles of regeneration. It is now a peaceful space blending memories, authenticity and comfort.

The Venda Nova neighbourhood is a rural residential area, surrounded by trees and hiking paths. It has occasional weekday buses. The nearest cafe is a 5-minute drive or a 12-minute bike ride (they are remote work friendly!) and has delicious traditional Portuguese pastry. The nearest towns are: - Redinha, a 7-minute drive or a 15-minute bike ride, which has minimarkets, local cafes, a pharmacy, a spring with a public river pool, a horse riding association and a climbing mountain; - Soure is a 20-minute drive and has supermarkets (too many!), a park (to exercise, relax, or barbecue!), cafes, a library, pharmacies, hairdressers, etc. We also have access to an exclusive free room at a Social Innovation Centre to use as a coworking space! There is a small, lovely market every Monday morning, if you'd like to buy some fresh vegetables and meet local producers!
