Raposeira Bed and Breakfast is a cosy place to stay, located at an altitude of 440 metres with amazing views of the mountains of central Portugal. The village is authentically rustic and rural, with an atmosphere of yesteryear. The accommn. Next to it is the former wine cellar, which still has the original beams where chorizo sausages used to be hung to dry. The walls are traditionally constructed with stone and clay. The advantage of this is that the room stays nice and cool in summer. And in winter, it is a wonderful place to cocoon. There is Wi-Fi, making it ideal for people who want to get away from it all and work remotely on their laptop in peace and quiet. There are two orange trees in the garden. In winter, they are perfect for getting your vitamin C, and in summer, they provide the best shade for lazing around in a hammock under the trees. There are also a number of seating areas on various levels, so you can choose whether you want to lie or sit in the sun or shade, depending on the day. In short, it is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

We are a couple who thoroughly enjoy adventure and connecting with people. We love to treat our guests with the famous breakfast we serve them. Breakfast is served on tableware handmade by Mika in the Raposeira theme. (foxhole / foxes) In addition to being hosts for our B&B, we often like to take our guests out to show them Portuguese life. We prefer to do this on motorbikes. We are avid motorcyclists ourselves and also rent motorbikes to our guests.

From our B&B, you can reach the most beautiful river beach called Fragas de São Simão within 10 minutes. Wonderfully situated between two high rock walls, the water there flows fresh and clear all year round. There are countless roads and walking routes in the immediate vicinity. If you want to go a little higher up into the mountains, the Serra da Estrella is a 2-hour drive away. It is the highest mountain in Portugal. Water activities, underground adventures and nature are interspersed with cultural cities within a half-hour drive of our location. Coimbra, the famous student city, Tomar with its Templar past and Pombal, a pleasant city to the west. If you drive another 15 minutes from Pombal, you will arrive at the vast beaches of western Portugal. There is too much to mention and it is definitely worth coming to see and experience for yourself.
