With over 100 years of history, this house is the perfect refuge for spending a few quiet days in the village of Matoeira. Just a 7-minute drive from the city of Lis, it is the ideal starting point to explore this vibrant city, rich in history and culture. Located only 3 km from the A17 highway exit, the house is also close to beaches, Nazaré, and Fátima. This sunny house has been restored while intentionally preserving its original features, such as the wooden details on the doorframes, interior doors, and window shutters, which are decades old. The space accommodates up to 5 people and is fully furnished and equipped, including a heater and a wood-burning stove, perfect for cozy evenings by the fire. The house has three bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, pantry, and a bathroom. Outside, there is a bright terrace and garden where you can enjoy your coffee. On weekends, in the village square right in front of the house, you can find traditional bread and chorizo bread baked in a wood-fired oven by locals, as well as coffee from the local association ADEMAC. More About the House With 114 years of history, this house has been restored and remodeled while maintaining its original character. Much of the decor, including tables, bed headboards, coat racks, shelves, and the sideboard, was crafted from the old wood used in the restoration, witnessing the lives of those who lived here from 1910 to the present day. All these pieces were handmade with care by the owner, respecting the natural cycle of materials and making The Centenaria a more sustainable home. The Centenaria – more than just a house.

On the other hand, I’ve always felt the need to one day contribute to the community of travelers and hosts, giving back by welcoming others and sharing a piece of my roots.
