Just 5 km from the fortified town of Elvas, the recently refurbished Varchotel features typical Alentejo architecture. It offers bright rooms with modern décor and satellite flat-screen TVs. All rooms feature stylish decoration and table-lamps. The private bathroom features contrasting black and white colours. A work desk and satellite flat-screen TV are included. The hotel’s Dom Januário Restaurant has a separate area where the daily breakfast buffet is served. In another area, it offers delicacies from the Alentejo region, such as grilled chicken and pork and lamb dishes. Guests can enjoy reading a daily newspaper on the outdoor terrace in the hotel’s garden. Local products such as wines and olive oil are available from the hotel’s own outlet. Varchotel offers 24-hour reception services. Its staff can assist guests with planning their stay, such as visits to wine tastings in the Juromenha region. On-site parking is free.
