Classified with 5 stars, this porperty is located on a former sugar plantation, this stunning 19th century bacherlo house (La Garçonnière) is at 200 meters from the Indian Ocean. Updated with moder comforts and conveniences, the house retains its authenticity and historical charm. It has a swimming pool and an outdoor shower nested within its tropical garden. Nearby Take a 10-minute drive to the port town of Saint Pierre and visit the 18th century town hall (formerly a warehouse) or learn about the island’s history of rum production at the Saga du Rhum museum. After exploring the town, have a relaxing dinner or some drinks at one (or more!) of the cafés and restaurants along the waterfront. Pack a picnic and visit some of Réunion’s magnificent waterfalls just an hour away! Only 1.5 hours by car and you’ll arrive at the Piton de la Fournaise … one of the world’s more active volcanoes!
