Located in the heart of the seaside village of L’Étang-Salé-les-Bains, the family villa La Varangue is officially rated 4 stars. Just a short walk from the beach and lagoon, this century-old Creole house – fully renovated – promises an exceptional tropical getaway.
Nestled in a quiet residential area, the villa offers walking access to all amenities: shops, bakeries, restaurants, ice-cream parlors, medical center and pharmacy.
Designed for families and groups of friends, it features 4 air-conditioned bedrooms (up to 9 flexible beds), premium bedding, a large exotic garden with a secure swimming pool, sun loungers and a Shiatsu Jacuzzi for 4. Guests also enjoy a spacious living room with Netflix TV and library, fiber-optic Wi-Fi, a work desk, and free baby equipment on request. The pool is heated during austral winter.
At the heart of the villa, the 50 m² tropical varangue (covered terrace) invites you to live outdoors the Creole way, with a cosy lounge, canopy bed, large dining table, fully equipped kitchen and BBQ area surrounded by lush vegetation.
The spacious bedrooms all combine style and comfort, each with private or adjoining bathroom:
The Explorer (upstairs, queen bed, ensuite with WC)
The Tropical (pool view, queen bed, ensuite with WC)

The house is ideally located in the heart of the village, offering many advantages:
* Restaurants and a variety of local shops (organic bakery, ice cream shop, coffee house, wine merchant, local convenience store, and more) are all within walking distance, allowing you to fully enjoy the village atmosphere and its quality amenities.
* The beautiful black volcanic sand beach, its supervised swimming area, and its unique sunsets are just a short stroll from the house.
Still relatively undiscovered, the lagoon offers some of the best snorkeling experiences on Réunion Island. It is also an excellent starting point for scuba diving, with two friendly dive centers providing access to some of the island’s most spectacular dive sites.
* On Sundays, you can explore the local farmers' market and discover fresh regional products.
* Or perhaps start your day by putting on your running shoes and heading out for a walk or a run through the coastal forest located just beside the house.
For golf enthusiasts, the 18-hole inland course of Bourbon Golf Club is only a 5-minute drive away.
