No mountain, no sea, no delta, but the river and the forest are in the backyard. Sometimes foxes come, more often in the morning and evening they pass by the house, on their way to graze cows and sheep. Even so, the air is clean, and times/whoever has time for nature and beauty, but also misses the duck/visiting is at hand: the medieval fortress of Socolari; Cheile Nerei, Dracului Lake; Sușara Waterfall; La Tunele, Valea Beiului, La Văioaga Waterfall, Ochiul Beiului, Beusnita/2 Waterfall; Bigăr Waterfall; Rudăria Watermills; Oravița-Anina, the oldest mountain railway in Romania; Lake Văliug; Danube Falls, Decebal's Statue, Mraconia Monastery, but also Eibenthal Village; even the Church of Socolari, Nera Monastery, Călugăra Monastery, including Prislop Monastery & Hațeg area with Sarmisegetuzele and more, plus Timișoara. Those who want to simply sit and listen to the river and the forest will find hammocks and deckchairs in the courtyard, and the terrace is covered and sheltered from the sun and rain. If you're in the mood for cooking, there's everything you need in the kitchen, plus more on the outside, such as a kettle for a hearty goulash or a hearty bean stew, as well as a barbecue for the fans. If you're handy, there's somewhere to build a campfire in the evenings, just like in the old days when we enjoyed everything. The Stone House is made with a lot of work and, obviously, with stone, so in summer the rooms can keep cool, anyway one can sleep too well, although the river is still heard because, of, it's also its House... It's not home, but everyone can feel at home at the Stone House.
