Equus Silvania is a unique guesthouse and equestrian centre located in the traditional village of Șinca Nouă, at the foothills of the Transylvanian Carpathians. Surrounded by peaceful countryside, forests, and wildflower meadows, it offers a tranquil retreat where nature, authentic hospitality, and outdoor experiences come together. Renowned for its horse riding, Equus Silvania welcomes both beginners and experienced riders. The surrounding landscape of vast woodlands and open meadows—largely free of fences—creates an ideal setting for riding through unspoiled nature. Our horses, mainly Hungarian-origin breeds such as Shagya-Arab, Kisberi, and Gidran, are known for their endurance, beauty, and calm temperament, making them perfect partners for exploring the Carpathian foothills. Set within five hectares of secluded natural surroundings, the property includes a charming guesthouse with nine spacious rooms and two apartments, two large stables, and several traditional outbuildings. Each room is tastefully furnished and features a private bathroom, offering comfort and relaxation after a day spent outdoors. Some rooms are suitable for families. Beyond horse riding, guests can enjoy hiking through pristine forests, walking in colourful flower meadows, or observing wild bears from a nearby bear hide. The guesthouse also features a spacious dining room, a cosy lounge with a bar and fireplace, and outdoor areas with swings, a gazebo, and a fireplace where guests can relax and enjoy the fresh air and quiet surroundings. Meals highlight local flavours and seasonal ingredients, many from our own garden or nearby farms.
