Company info

AMURTEL Romania NGO runs this vegetable farm together with employees and volunteers. There is also a family-style children's home nearby that offers safety, love, and opportunities to 12 children taken out of situations of neglect and abuse. The proceeds from your stay will benefit the children. The vegetables produced at Zoriza farm are for Amurtel Family children home.

Property info

The home was built in 1937, so it is a rustic Romanian village house, with a beautiful ceramic tile wood stove. The bathrooms and indoor plumbing were added when it was converted into the vacation home for the AMURTEL Family children's home nearby. The parking will be done on DN10- on the side of the road. We do not have TV or wi-fi. The car is left on the road and then a grassy path leads 200 to 300 meters to the house. The luggage is carried by hand. There are two rooms, one of which is a connecting room, but only one has a fixed bunk bed and the other room has a single sofa bed, plus an extra folding bed. In case our property is booked by another guest please contact us- we have another location in Panatau village where we can accommodate you and it is not listed. We can not accept last minute bookings- all the bookings need to be made with 48 hours in advance and confirmed by our responsible. Please take into account that the house is located within a vegetable farm and we have 3 female dogs (sterilized!) and cats. They are free all over the place in order to guard the space farm. In case you are coming with a dog, please take care that there are peaceful interaction between your dog and the farms dog. Please keep the gates close to the national road for their safety. Thank you!

Neighborhood info

The bus from Bucharest stops near the property. It is within easy walking distance of the Buzau river, or you can hike to the top of a nearby mountain overlooking the area. It is about 45 minutes away from the Mud Volcanoes of Berca, and a similar distance to Alunis where there are ancient caves dug by hermits into the rock, or the Carnu monastery with the most ancient chapel in the Buzau Valley.
