Pridvorul lui Viorel is a traditional countryside cottage set among the rolling green hills of Plaiu, one of the most picturesque areas in Prahova. The region is known for its exceptionally clean air, peaceful atmosphere, and beautiful natural surroundings — forests, orchards, and meadows stretching in every direction. The road to the house winds gently uphill through gardens and fruit trees. Near the top of the hill, turn onto a smaller lane, keep left, and after about 200 meters, you’ll reach our quiet and welcoming cottage, perfectly placed for guests seeking nature and relaxation.
Pridvorul lui Viorel is a home close to our hearts — restored with care to preserve the simplicity of rural life: white walls, a wooden porch, and the comforting smell of firewood. Inside, the cottage offers two cozy bedrooms and a warm eat‑in kitchen. Outside, you can relax, enjoy a drink, or grill while looking out over the hills, orchards, and forest edges. The thick hand‑made brick walls keep the house naturally cool in summer. In winter, the kitchen stove heats the entire home through central heating, with firewood provided. Water comes from our outdoor well, so mindful use is appreciated. For safety, the property has 24‑hour outdoor video surveillance, without affecting your privacy. We hope you’ll feel the same peace we feel here: fresh mornings, quiet evenings, and days that flow gently, far from the noise of the city.
The cottage sits in the quiet hillside village of Plaiu, surrounded by rolling hills, forest paths, and old orchards. Plaiu’s higher altitude brings fresh breezes and wide open views. Despite its tranquility, the location is convenient: only 1 hour and 30 minutes from Bucharest or Brașov, and close to popular ski resorts such as Sinaia, Bușteni, and Predeal. It’s an ideal base for exploring Prahova Valley or simply enjoying a peaceful rural retreat.
