Welcome to our home, Rosehiphill farm! When the smoke and the noise in the city become just too much, one does not wish simply to escape to the countryside, but to a place where the neighboring houses are at a respectable distance, passers-by don’t peep through your window, and cars don’t spray your house with dust and mud. Where you have less worries letting the children go out and play on the playground, which is nature itself. It all started with a little white house on a hillside, that could hardly be spotted among rose hip and blackberry bushes. The shrubbery was soon replaced by blueberry, currant, raspberry and lavender bushes, the wild strawberry could continue to spread in the clean pasture and the thyme radiates a marvelous aroma every time you step on it. In all the cleaning work, our goats proved to be of inestimable help, though caused much nuisance also, but the tasty milk and the fresh cheeses compensate for all their tricks. Squirrels, deer, rabbits, wild pigs, and sadly, even some foxes venture quite close to our farm, and the daffodils come back every spring. Though most of the cherry trees are wild, their fruit is so sweet and they are such a gorgeous sight.

It’s not the easy, worry-free life what we enjoy, but the freedom, nature, the work, the toil, and the rose together with its thorn, because there is no rose without a thorn. We stay at our guests’ disposal with everything we can. Feel free to ask. Will provide delicious home-made food, using mostly organic products, upon request.

A nice retreat especially with children. Cosy rooms, farm fresh food, beautiful surroundings. Discover your connection to nature in the fabulous mountain area of Transylvania. Engulf yourself in wildflowers, spot a squirrel, hear the utter silence, follow the creek, gaze at the starlit sky, wake up to frivolous bird-song. We downshifted from the fast-paced life and never regretted it. You’re welcome to try it too, with fresh milk, self-picked fruits, and many home-made goodies. Stay in our comfy guest-rooms and roam around the countryside, simply enjoying life on a mountain farm. You can take part in the every-day activities of a traditional Transylvanian family, while enjoying a lot of quiet and rest in your comfortable room, with separate entrance. The guest-rooms are close to our summer residence, which lies on a 5-hectare piece of property. We live here, with our animals and relax with all sorts of farming and forestry activities. You are welcome to use the hearth, grill, camp-fire, while adults and children alike can enjoy the nature-inspired adventure park, pets (cats, dogs, pony) and farm animals (goats, chickens).
