We bought our old little house in the heart of Apuseni in 2020 and we soon discovered the joy of sharing it with guests from all around the world. Along the way, the small family hobby turned into a bigger dream. Together with our family and close friends, we decided to invest more in the region and support local tourism and modern architecture inspired by centuries-old traditions.

This property is part of a project in the heart of Apuseni Mountains. We call it the Sunset Mountains Village and it has five holiday cottages and a barn house for events. The project was launched in 2024 with two houses and it continues to expand. With an astonishing view of the Vlădeasa Peak, this secluded site offers our guests the perfect setting for reconnecting with family and friends, but also to get closer to pristine nature.

Surrounded by rolling hills, dense forests, and traditional mountain meadows, the Sunset Mountains Village offers a genuine escape for those who wish to run away from busy city life and enjoy nature. Guests can relish quiet mornings and starry nights. They can also tour nearby forrests, glades and meadows either on foot or on a bike, as many local trails start right outside the property. In the nearby villages, friendly locals are still living in wooden houses, work in local farms, and follow old traditions, thereby keeping the charm of mountain life alive.
Despite its secludedness, the site provides easy access to some of the region’s most beautiful attractions, including Vlădeasa Peak, natural caves, waterfalls, and viewpoints. Whether guests want adventure or relaxation, the Sunset Mountains Village offers both.
