Banja Koviljača is located in western Serbia, near the Drina River. It is surrounded by nature rich in diverse elements such as Jadar, Lešnica, Račevina, Azbukovica, and the expanses of northeastern Bosnia. Mountains like Gučevo, Boranja, the Sokolske mountains, and Cer, along with the flowing Drina River and the plains of Mačva and Semberija, complement the landscape. Not far from the river, along the main road from Zvornik to Loznica, lies Banja Koviljača, renowned for its thermal mineral waters. It is accessible via the Belgrade-Ruma highway and the regional road from Ruma through Šabac to Loznica and Banja Koviljača. Gučevo, a forested mountain, dominates the southern side of the spa. Its highest peak, Crni Vrh, offers a spectacular view of the Drina and its surroundings. Banja Koviljača is known for treating rheumatic diseases, post-traumatic conditions, gynecological ailments, and other conditions. Tršić, the birthplace of Vuk Stefanović Karadžić, offers an ethnographic park and the Tronoša monastery from 1317. The Čokešina Monastery, built in the 15th century, bears witness to historical events such as the battle against the Turks in 1804.
