Casa de la Curva is a charming and well-designed cottage in Båstad, perfect for couples or small families looking for comfortable and peaceful self-catering accommodation on the Bjäre Peninsula. The cottage offers two double beds, one on the ground floor and one in a cozy loft sleeping area with a view. Please note that the loft has a low ceiling (standing upright is not possible), and access may be challenging for elderly guests or those with limited mobility, although the bed is very comfortable. The property is located next to the tranquil Pershög park, providing a quiet and relaxing environment while still being close to Båstad town centre, beaches, and the harbour. Båstad can be lively during major events and the peak summer season (especially June–July), but Casa de la Curva is in a relatively calm area; ideal for rest and privacy after a day of exploring.

We have lived and worked in several countries over the past decades, always keeping Båstad as our home base. Since retiring in 2022, we enjoy welcoming guests, both new and returning, to our holiday rental. When we are not hosting, we love cycling and walking in the beautiful Bjäre Peninsula surroundings, often accompanied by our two friendly Cairn Terrier dogs. We also spend time at our small cabin in northern Norway, where we hike in the mountains and fish in the fjord. The area is a top destination for outdoor activities and active holidays. Båstad offers excellent road cycling routes, coastal bike paths, and mountain-bike trails on Hallandsåsen. A nearby downhill bike park provides thrilling MTB trails in summer and is used for downhill skiing in winter. Golf lovers will find several high-quality golf courses on the Bjäre Peninsula, making Båstad one of Sweden’s leading golf destinations. The region is also popular for running and trail running, with events such as marathons, ultra-trail races, including the famous Kullamannen trail race, attracting runners and outdoor enthusiasts from Sweden and abroad. Båstad has excellent amenities for visitors, including supermarkets and convenience stores in town and nearby villages. Tempo is a convenient nearby grocery store for everyday needs. The town offers many well-regarded restaurants and cafés, especially around the harbour and central areas. For a relaxed evening, The Dog & Fox Pub is a popular spot with a friendly atmosphere, pub food, and drinks. During the summer season, restaurants and accommodation are in high demand, so advance booking is recommended.
