Welcome to stay in an old time cottage with low ceiling and shared fully equipped kichen and shared toilet /shower. In the surroundings you can do hiking and cycling, swimming in the lake/river and go picking berries and mushrooms. There are 2 bedrooms, one at the bottomfloor with a dubblebed and a sofa that has a 140 cm bed when pulled out, and one room upstairs with 6 beds + 1 smaller bed to be pulled out from under a bed. 3 beds are 80 cm broad 3 beds are 90 cm. The ceiling is very low which makes the room a cozy one. You can also take a course in baking the typical flatbread from the region, in a woodfired owen. It might also be possible to get The Swedish Handmaiden here to make goat and cow cheese together with. There will be painting of the house's outside during this season and perhaps renovation of the entrance.
I am living on the farm which now adays only hosts cats and hens. I like to grow vegetables and flowers, and to do some training and skiing in wintertime. It makes me so happy when guests have read about my accomodation and appreciate the old style cottage that once was built for a brew house and rebuilt for a living cottage in the 1970s. when my guests are happy I am happy too.
A natural pool with waterfalls is only 8 km away. The river (updammed to a lake) is within 400 meters where you can fish for free. In Näsåker (16 km) at Nämforsen you find the famous stonecarvings that are 4000 years old and the museum that tells about them. During summer they have guided tours for free. Also a very nice cafe and many small shops. In the woods you can pick berries and mushrooms and go hiking and biking. In Ramsele (17 km) you find an old church from the 13th century AD and many second hand shops. Fishing in the river Faxälven could give you a Salmon if you are lucky. The restaurant Solporten is situated high above the river with a beautiful view down the rivervalley. At Färnlöfs hotell you can get a very special meal and at Imnäs Grill (8 km) you will have the best meat you could think of, they are fully licenced. People come from far away to eat at this place.
