At Grandma’s Cottage, nature is your closest neighbor. Deer often graze peacefully in the meadow nearby, and just 200 meters below the cottage, you’ll find a pond with a canoe available for you to use free of charge. Here, you can try your luck fishing, savor the tranquility, or simply relax by the dock as the water gently laps against it. The cottage spans a spacious 110 square meters and is both cozy and charming. Inside, you’ll find a welcoming hallway, an adjacent kitchen, and a delightful glassed-in veranda with a dining area. The kitchen, living room, and one small bedroom have a ceiling height of 1.89 meters. There are three bedrooms with a total of six beds, providing plenty of space for your stay. With no internet here, it’s the perfect place to truly unwind. Save your surfing and phone calls for your day trips and fully embrace the peaceful atmosphere. Guests are responsible for cleaning the cottage before departure.

It’s essential to clean thoroughly before departure, including vacuuming sofas and beds. Over the years, we’ve had both a dog and a cat ourselves and know how important it is to bring your furry friend along on holiday. Food and water bowls are available to borrow during your stay. The house is owned by me, Yvonne, and I’ll personally welcome you upon your arrival at Grandma’s Cottage. As a child, I spent every summer here at my grandmother’s house, and it holds a very special place in my heart.

There are no neighbors – relax, enjoy the peace, and be close to swimming, excursions, and local attractions. *** In the cabin, we have collected our favorite tips for restaurants, beaches, and sights, so you can easily plan your stay. *** For hiking enthusiasts, several trails are nearby. The Coastal Trail passes the cabin and offers stunning views, and the Bohusleden Trail is also close. Visit Älgafallet – a 46-meter-high waterfall on the border with Norway. *** If you love water and paddling, we have our own canoe at a small pond for a private, peaceful experience. Bullaresjön is also nearby, offering swimming, diving platforms, canoe rental, and a restaurant with summer entertainment. *** Explore the dramatic nature of Bohuslän in the Tjurpannan and Saltö nature reserves, or meet moose up close at Älgparken in Dals-Ed. Strömstad, Fjällbacka, and Grebbestad are also excellent day-trip destinations.
