I was born and raised in the neighboring village of Rynge, but now live in Malmö. I have built this house and two houses next to it that I and my family will use as a summer residence.

Welcome to the small and cozy village of Sjörup located just outside Ystad. Here you can live in a small and simple house with the beautiful plains as the nearest neighbor and close to Mossbystrand. The accommodation has a fully equipped kitchen, a bedroom with a large bed, a sleeping loft with two single beds and a large living room with a sofa bed. Free parking is available next to the property. Nearby, the restaurant "15 Minuter en Kvart" serves delicious pizzas on a terrace overlooking the fields. Believe it or not, there is also a camel grazing in the pasture outside. In Sjörup's village there is an old church from the 1100s that is worth a visit and in front of it there is a rune stone that is believed to date from the 900s.

In several places in Sjörup village there are historical signs with information about different buildings and people who once lived and worked here. Take the opportunity to read about my great-grandfather, Ernst Svensson, who was the village blacksmith in the early 1900s. Around the accommodation there are open fields with beautiful views and grazing horses and cows, perfect for long walks. Wonderful Mossbystrand is reached via a small gravel road two kilometers south where there is a kiosk selling ice cream and food during the summers. The property has plenty of beach toys for the children that guests can borrow. Beyond Mossbystrand you will find Abbekås which is an old fishing village, there is also a nice golf course and restaurants to visit, four kilometers from the accommodation. In the neighboring village of Rynge, freshly baked buns are sold every Saturday morning at "Karlsborg Bagaren" and at Rynge Idrottsplats there is both a playground and training opportunities. In the surrounding area there are many fine churches and castles, including Vallösa Church, Marsvinsholm Castle and Svaneholm Castle. The nearest train station is in Rydsgård or Svarte. Other attractions and sights to visit nearby: - Ystad Zoo - Ystad's famous street house, Västra Vallgatan etc. - Ales Stenar - Mossbylund - Hörte Brygga - Österlen and all its actors, including Karl-Fredrik in Österlen, Österlenchoklad in Skåne Tranås, Mandelmanns Trädgårdar in Rörum. - Sandhammar's miles of beaches - Both Malmö and Lund can be reached either by train or car.
