“Location was excellent: breathtaking wievs to nearby mountains. Ski routes start right beside cabin. Not far from Tänndalen ski resort either. Cabin was cotsy. Kitchen was new and functional. Other furniture were older. Well worth the money...”

Once owned by the paint company Akzo Nobel, these cabins on Gotland and in Tänndalen were originally created as retreats where employees could relax and recharge. Nowadays it is run by a family who were drawn to their incredible locations—Tänndalen, surrounded by majestic mountains and sparkling lakes, and Furillen, with its unique landscape, pristine beaches, and sense of harmony. The Akzo Nobel legacy is still present but today everyone can experience and enjoy the beauty of these special places in Sweden.

Welcome to your cozy home away from home. We offer cabins for rent in Åsvallen/Tänndalen in the Funäsfjällen mountains, and cabins on Furillen, Gotland — all located in beautiful Sweden. We also offer electric car charging.

Neighborhood info

Tranquility and views – Åsvallen is a peaceful cabin/stuga area in Tänndalen, with minimal traffic, splendid mountain views (especially Rödfjället and surrounding fjäll), and a real sense of being away from the busy everyday. Access to outdoor activities – Guests appreciate how easy it is to get out hiking, cycling or skiing straight from the cabins. Whether snowshoeing in winter or trekking and mountain biking in summer, there are trails just steps away. Authentic mountain village feel – Funäsdalen is small enough to feel intimate, yet has everything you need: restaurants, cafés, shops, a museum, and genuine local culture, particularly South Sami heritage. Skiing & winter landscape – In winter, the snow is reliable, the slopes and cross country skiing trails nearby (Tänndalen, Funäsfjällen) are well maintained, and guests often say the winter scenery — frost, snow-laden trees, frozen lakes — is magical.
