Hej dear guest, We are thrilled that you have booked your stay with us! It is absolutely stunning to share our love for Sweden and farm life with you during your stay. As the cabin is close to one of the biggest nature reserves, Glaskogen, it is highly suited for outdoor adventurous. We will inform you about the beautiful hikes and lakes within the park, either in person or through our flyers inside the house. We are a family of four that moved to Sweden in 2023. Since then we have pursued our dream to start a small farm with a food forest and are eager to receive guests to let them experience our enthousiasm of this lifestyle. Our property exists of 8 hectares of which 5 are forest. Dense forest with the possibility to pick mushrooms and berries. We love to be outside, start new projects and explore our surroundings ourselves. We are able to give you first hand experienced details on certain activities to give you a be a step ahead of other tourists. The Old Hunter's Cabin is situated on our farm Södra Gård. The farm exists of a thriving market garden, a food forest in the making and livestock like chickens. It is very well possible to get your daily fresh eggs and veggies from our farm. The house consists of old fashion details with a cozy atmosphere. Turn the wood stove on and make yourself a nice cup of tea with the iron kettle after a long walk at the nature reserve Glaskogen. The cabin is equipped with luxurious goods like a refrigerator, but does not consist running water. A watertank will be provided. It is also important to know that the outdoor shower is heated and just around the corner, while compost toilet is about 40m away with a nice forestry view. The cabin is close to the house of the host 25m.

Glaskogen Nature reserve is our key selling point! Go fishing, hiking, swimming, bbq-ing, and many more within the park and enjoy absolute silence on certain days. The park also has an amazing restaurant with locally produced food. A treat for your mouth! Drive into the other direction and you will find an amazing car cemetery (Ivan's Junkyard) where you can wander off for a few hours. As it is close to the border of Norway, we recommend you to drive a bit further afterwards and enjoy the Halden Regional canalpark. Would you like to spot a moose? Go to the moose farm in Dals-ed and experience an upclose meeting with one of the big five of Sweden.
