Welcome to Per-Sims, the traditional name of our decorated farmhouse with a rich history expanding hundreds of years back. Our wonderful farmhouse lies in a superb location surrounded by other decorated farmhouses and the lovely Hälsingland nature, as well as being close to ameneties. You will have your own parking and entrance as well as a sunny porch to enjoy outside dining, or a beverage, with excellent views over the river and valley. There is also a private garden and a storage cupboard with a lock, with enough room to store larger items such as pram, bikes and skis. There are facilities for electric bikes to be charged. The interior gives a gentle nudge to the past, finished with traditional panelling, linseed oil paint and timeless art work, there is enough space for all guests to relax, and enjoy their break. Our guests don’t have to worry about bringing anything for the house, setting us apart from other holiday lets in the area. The beds are made up with feather down, lovely bedding and fluffy towels. We are family friendly and you will find a highchair and childrens beds in the house, made up with the same luxuorious comfort as the adult’s beds. The house was completely renovated in late 2023, with excellent care to preserve it’s old charm. There are modern comodeties such as flat screen TV with Chromecast and a brand new modern kitchen with a dish washer. The living room caters to all ages with a large table with room for activites, high speed Wi-Fi, a cupboard with board games, books and tourist information. Please note our house is a smoke free area, and unfortunately no pets are allowed. Upon leaving we ask for the house to be left in good condition, ready for our team of professional cleaners. Please ensure dishes have been washed and put away. This ensures the highest standard of cleanliness, the professional cleaning team use only environmentally friendly products.

Thank you for choosing our house to spend your holiday in! We moved to Sweden from the Netherlands in 1988, having raised our four children here we love the village and our beautiful home. We are close-by if you need us, we speak Swedish, English, German and Dutch, but respect your privacy if you wish to enjoy your stay more independently.

The closest city is Ljusdal (translating light valley), a 5 minute drive from the farmhouse. The city has numerous food and clothes shops, restaurants, cafés and pubs. To the other direction of the house, a 13 minute drive, you will find Järvsö, an immensly popular tourist town which has a ski resort, downhill mountain bike park, a wildlife zoo called Vildriket and a traditional estate called Stenegård (for more information visit English | Stenegård (stenegard.com)). If you enjoy cross-country skiing or would like to try this out, there is a large ski centre in Harsa, half an hour drive from Per-Sims. Right on the doorstep you will find excellent walking routes and wild swimming spots. Visit us and discover the beautiful nature Hälsingland has to offer with it’s wild nature, unique light, valleys, forests, lakes and the infamous “blue mountains”!
