Ribbingshof is a family owned and operated property. We have rented our vacation homes for over 15 years and have many repeat visitors that visit year after year. As of 2026, we are expanding from 3 homes to 4, with the completion of Stallet (the Stables), restored and updated to a comfortable vacation home.

Welcome to Ribbingshof Ribbingshof estate (www.Ribbingshof.com) by Lake Sommen offers four charming holiday homes – all just a few steps from the lake. Here, a place of peace, nature and a genuine Swedish summer feeling awaits, close to Astrid Lindgren’s home region and just 45 minutes away from Astrid Lindgrens Värld. Ribbingshof was built in the 1600s and is spectacularly located on a peninsula at the southern tip of Lake Sommen - one of the clearest fresh water lakes in Sweden. Our 4 vacation homes, the Lake Cottage, the Stable, the Carriage House and the Manor Wing, are located in a beautiful park setting, with direct access to our private beach and boathouse. Use of our rowing boat as well as a motorboat are included for guests, for short fishing trips or to explore the lake.

Ribbingshof is located in the small village of Norra Vi, a serene area at the southern tip of Lake Sommen, one of the clearest fresh water lakes in Sweden. Guests enjoy the peaceful setting, hikes in the hills, swimming, kayaking, boating or fishing on the lake.
