“We arrived very early in the morning, however Bengan was cleaning just as we arrived, so the apartment was ready for us. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was clean, and it was nice to be able to make our own dinners.”

“Meget hyggeligt og alt fungerede. Man skal ikke regne med 5 stjernet luksus. Men man får rigtig meget for pengene. Super godt hvis man vil stå langrend eller alpin i kläppen/lindvallen. Max 10 min i bil. God sauna til 70 dkr om dagen.”

Welcome to SkiFood! Accommodation, food and ski lessons! SKIFOOD is a family-friendly and homely guest house in retro style. Here you sleep well, high comfort with elastic bottoms in all beds. Each floor has a kitchen, toilet and shower. Generous living room with fireplaces / fireplaces, TV room, relaxation area, large sauna, WiFi. With the location at the Vasaloppet start, Skifood is the obvious accommodation for all the races that Vasaloppet arranges for skiers, cyclists and runners. The guest house is also the perfect starting point for everything Kläppen Ski Resort, Sälen and Transtrandsfjällen have to offer throughout the year. Take your skiing skills to the next level! Bengt who is your host is also a certified ski instructor. He gladly assist you develop your skiing technique in the slope or on the cross country track!
Your Outdoor Coach & Chef, Your personal trainer and star chef I, Bengt Andersson, am the technician who became a ski teacher, chef and health educator. I get energy from unpretentious people who put health in focus and who follow their own will. I thrive best when I get to help people clarify their own goals and to help meet them. I see each new acquaintance as a new journey and source of knowledge. At the age of 54, I still find different types of exercise for the different activities I want to do. In the Outdoor Coach network, I meet knowledgeable people who like to move, especially outdoors. I get to use my knowledge and 30 years of experience as a ski instructor, chef and health educator.
Transtrand where Skifood is located is classic land. From Skifood you are close to Vasaloppsstarten and Vasaloppsleden, 1900 m. You also have a perfect starting point for Kläppen Ski Resort and Lindvallen, a few minutes by car. Start hiking directly from Skifood up on Hemfjället. Canoeing on the Västerdalälven river which is only 200 m from Skifood. Within a 400 m radius you have sports shops, fast food restaurant, petrol station, car workshop, bus stop etc.
