We are a married couple, Anna and Stefan, living just outside Strömstad in northern Bohuslän. Together we run Sweden Cabins and personally take care of our houses – from maintenance and interior design to the contact with our guests. We offer four individually decorated houses: The Nordby Cabin, The Buar Cabin, The Blomsholm Cabin and The Solhem Cabin. Our houses are not luxury homes, but our goal is always the same – to create a warm and thoughtfully designed environment where guests feel that their stay deserves 10 points. Many guests return because they appreciate the care we put into our houses. We live nearby should anything be needed during your stay.

Property info

Welcome to The Solhem Cabin, a charming house from the 1920s that has been carefully renovated to preserve its character and homely atmosphere. The house features beautiful sanded wooden floors and a kitchen equipped with modern conveniences such as an induction cooktop, convection oven, fridge/freezer, Chromecast and free Wi-Fi. One bedroom has a bed that is 180 cm wide, and the largest bedroom has a 160 cm double bed as well as two single beds. Cleaning is not included, but the house is designed to be easy to clean. We kindly ask that the house is left clean and in good condition so that the next guests can also arrive to a fresh and welcoming home. To make cleaning easier, robot vacuum cleaners with mopping function are available both upstairs and downstairs. Bed linen and towels are normally brought by guests, but they can also be rented for 200 SEK or 20 EUR per person. Payment can be made in cash or via PayPal. Welcome to a charming house!

Neighborhood info

Solhem Cabin is located in the small village of Flöghult, only about 80 meters from a small and very child-friendly swimming spot. It can easily be reached by walking across a lawn and a small road. The beach has shallow water, a sandy shore, a floating jetty and picnic tables – perfect for both morning and evening swims. Strömstad is about a 20-minute drive away and offers a wide range of restaurants, shops and attractions. For saltwater swimming in the Idefjord, the beach in Krokstrand is only five minutes away by car. Here you will find a family-friendly sandy beach, a jetty and a small restaurant with outdoor seating and ice cream. Within about 20 minutes by car there are many more swimming spots along the beautiful Bohuslän coast. In the house you will also find tips on our favorite restaurants, beaches and excursions, such as the Koster Islands, Grebbestad, Fjällbacka and Halden Fortress.
