Pintorp is play, rest, sunshine, excursions, culture, bathing and relaxation! We look after our beloved holiday home on an ongoing basis so that it retains its character and comfort and try to provide an extraordinary experience to our guests. Now we want to share Pintorp with you! I am a loyal friend of Dalarna's nature and culture and often make short and long trips to cultural events, food artisans and outdoor activities on skates, skis, in a kayak or with hiking boots. I am happy to give tips and advice about excursions and other things.

In Pintorp Cabin you live comfortably and peacefully in a spacious cabin with a wonderful view of the lake, secluded but still in a central location. Your private paradise next to the Orsälven river, between Lake Orsasjön and Siljan, just outside the center of Mora. There are two bedrooms in the main building and a spacious sleeping cabin in the yard. Here you have a lake view and south-facing veranda, large private plot with trampoline, outdoor toys, barbecue, wood-burning stove and access to a jetty and a small rowing boat that e.g. takes you to a beautiful almost private sandy beach on the other side of the river. ***Our guests bring their own sheets and towels and clean up after themselves upon departure. *** Minimum rental period is THREE nights. The bed in the large bedroom is 180 cm (90*2), in the small bedroom 80 cm which can be pulled out to 155 cm. The sofa bed in the living room is made into a comfortable 90 cm bed. The dormitory on the farm has two comfortable 90 beds that can be used in the summer if there are more than 5 people The kitchen has a new fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Broadband WI-Fi, TV, Cromecast, PS2, Renovated bathroom with walk-in shower, washing machine, iron and ironing board. New beautiful floors throughout the house. Listen to the birds in the morning and have a barbecue in the evening sun on the veranda while the boats slowly pass by below, or stay in front of a fire in the living room after exploring the culture and history of Siljansbygden. The best thing about the accommodation is the quiet lakeside location with a view and patio, access to a boat, bathing jetty, trampoline, free wi-fi (10/100) and parking.

Pintorp Cottage is located next to the Siljansleden trail with a wonderful view of the mountains and Lake Orsa, next to Orsälven which connects Orsasjön, Siljan and Västerdalälven. Swimming can be done at the jetty by the yard, where there are also chairs for a coffee on the jetty. With the rowing boat you can easily get to a nice little secluded sandy beach on the other side of the river. Nearby there are many options for swimming , 400 m to the Lasarettsbadet. 1.5 km Sanda with boat harbour, 3 km Tingsnäsbadet with long sandy beach and large playground and 14 km to Orsabadet with large shallow sandy beach, outdoor pool, playgrounds, etc. or you look for a small forest star for a more private experience close to nature. Norets shopping center is within walking distance (1.5 km). In the center of Mora, 3 km away, there are several nice restaurants and cafes, the Zorn Museum. Nusnäs Dala horse production 10 km, Våmhus chip basket production 20 km, Gesundaberget viewpoint and Sollerön Viking burial ground 20 km, Fryksås farmstead 25 km, Dalhalla 35 km, Rättvik long bridge and toboggan run 45 km, Munthes Hildasholm and Hugo Alfengården in Leksand 60 km, Falu copper mine and Carl Larssongården 100 km. The Onsdagsyran is a local music festival that runs throughout July. The museum rail bus usually makes two departures 400 m away and takes you directly to Onsdagsyran in Orsa. We have compiled information about our personal favorite restaurants, beaches and a number of suggestions for excursions in the area. Dalarna has a lot to offer and we can suggest full-day tours based on areas of interest such as culture and crafts, food crafts, art, exercise and nature experiences, etc.
