We, Fred and Sonja, are the proud owners of Villa Ragunda. Since 2024, we have lived in the beautiful village of Hammarstrand, located in the Ragunda Valley. Hospitality is our top priority, offering guests a unique experience of the wooded surroundings. We also organize activities for both summer and winter. Businesses are also very welcome.

Welcome to Villa Ragunda, where deer and elk roam the garden in winter and where you can hear birds singing from your bedroom window in spring and summer. A beautiful holiday home in a fantastic location on the edge of the village of Hammarstrand, where you can enjoy peace and nature while relaxing on a bench in the sun. This cozy 60 m² holiday home is situated in a rural setting and is suitable for 4-6 people. It is available for rent all year round. The house consists of two bedrooms, each with two single beds (90 x 200 cm) and a double sofa bed. The house features a cozy living room with a fully equipped kitchen, fitted with all modern conveniences, such as a combination microwave, extractor hood, 4-burner induction hob, fridge with freezer compartment, coffee maker, kettle, pans, crockery, cutlery, mugs, and glasses. The cozy living room has a comfortable sofa, a dining table with chairs, a TV, air conditioning, and a cozy wood-burning stove. Free Wi-Fi is available. There is a separate toilet and a separate shower room with a shower, sink, and a coin-operated washing machine. You have your own parking space and a spacious garden with comfortable chairs and a table overlooking the mountain with the letters "Hammarstrand". Barbecue facilities are also available. Pet Policy: Dogs are welcome with us. Dogs are included in the price. Two dogs are welcome; if you have more dogs this can be discussed in consultation. We have a fenced garden surrounding the holiday home. The fence is 1.20 meters high.

Cultural Highlights & History: * Thai Pavilion (Thailändska Paviljongen): A unique piece of Thailand in the middle of the Swedish forests of Utanede. This beautiful structure is a memorial to the Thai King Chulalongkorn, who visited the area in 1897. * Döda Fallet (The Dead Waterfall): Visit this fascinating nature reserve where you can walk through a 'waterfall without water'. It was formed in 1796 when the Indalsälven river sought a new route after a spectacular accident, causing the original waterfall to dry up. * Ragunda Gamla Kyrka: An atmospheric red-stone church from the 15th century, built of local Ragunda granite. It is one of the oldest sights in the region. * Historic Toboggan Run: Hammarstrand is known for its legendary bobsleigh and toboggan run, where world championships were formerly held. Although no longer used for top-level sport, it remains an impressive part of local history. * Ragunda Hembygdsgård: An open-air museum where, in the summer, you can see how people used to live in this region, complete with historical buildings and crafts. * Krångede Kraftverksmuseum: This museum tells the story of the construction of the Krångede hydroelectric power plant in the 1930s, the largest in Sweden at the time. * Kullstaberget Viewpoint: From this point near Hammarstrand, you have a breathtaking panoramic view of the valley and the Indalsälven river. * Jamtli Museum: One of Sweden's most popular attractions. This museum combines an indoor museum with a large open-air section (Historieland) where you travel through different eras and meet actors in historical clothing.
