Access & Location The cabin is accessible only on foot via a scenic mountain trail (35–55 minutes from the nearest parking area). Once you arrive, every trip to the valley begins with the hike back to your car. 4×4 luggage transport can be arranged in advance (additional fee applies), so you can enjoy the hike without carrying heavy bags. About the Cabin Welcome to our lovingly restored 100-year-old off-grid mountain cabin, perched at 1,500 metres above sea level in the heart of the Slovenian Alps. This is not a modern luxury chalet or hotel. It is an authentic mountain retreat where simplicity, breathtaking views and nature are the true luxury. Powered by solar energy and restored using a zero-waste approach, the cabin has preserved its original alpine character. You'll find comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, a warm shower, a simple mountain-style bathroom, an outdoor terrace with BBQ, and everything you need for a cozy stay in the mountains. Water and electricity are precious mountain resources and are used responsibly. If you're looking for marble bathrooms, spa facilities, food delivery or resort comforts, this may not be the right place. But if you're looking for spectacular alpine views, peaceful forests, star-filled skies, hiking trails and an authentic mountain glamping experience, you'll feel right at home. Guests enjoy exclusive use of the entire cabin, terrace and 7,000 m² of private forest, offering complete privacy and direct access to hiking and cycling trails. The cabin offers something increasingly rare: complete silence. There are no roads, traffic or crowds—only forests sounds, mountain peaks and panoramic views. A traditional mountain hut serving local food is just a 15-minute walk away. From the cabin you can hike directly to Dobrča, Prevala, Roblek, Begunjščica and Zelenica, while nearby Radovljica, Bled, Bohinj,Brezje and Dolžanova Gorge make excellent day trips—just remember that every return to the valley begins with a hike.

The cabin is an excellent base for exploring Dobrča, Prevala, Roblek, Begunjščica and Zelenica, with scenic walking and cycling routes in every direction. A traditional mountain hut serving homemade Alpine dishes is just a 15-minute walk away, making it easy to enjoy local cuisine without leaving the mountains. When you're ready for a day trip, the valleys below offer charming towns, lakes and cultural attractions, including Radovljica, Begunje, Brezje, Bled, Dolžanova Gorge and Peračica Waterfall. Please remember that every trip to the valley begins with a scenic hike back to your car, and public transport in the area is very limited. This cabin is best suited for guests who want to slow down, stay in the mountains and enjoy nature rather than travel back and forth each day. If your plan is to spend most of your time sightseeing in the valley, or you're looking for easy access to restaurants, nightlife and frequent transport, a stay in the valley will likely be a better choice. Whether you're watching the sunrise over the Alps, listening to birdsong, stargazing at night or simply enjoying the silence, this is a place to reconnect with nature and experience the mountains as they have always been. Nature & Winter Nestled in the heart of the forest, the cabin offers a true nature experience. During warmer months, you may occasionally see insects, butterflies, spiders or other small woodland creatures—part of staying in a remote mountain cabin with no AC. In winter, access depends on snow and weather conditions. The trail may be snowy or icy, and suitable winter footwear is essential. Please always check conditions before your arrival.
