Komenda zadnja leta najbolj slovi po najboljšem kolesarju na svetu Tadeju Pogačarju. Je izjemna lokacija, ki jo obdajajo Kamniško Savinjske Alpe, le nekaj kilometrov stran od letališča in 16 km stran od glavnega mesta Ljubljana. Osrednja lega omogoča dnevne izlete po celi Sloveniji, do obalnega dela se pripelješ v nekaj več kot eni uri. Imamo tudi zelo veliko restavracij. V radiju dveh kilometrov imamo znamenito restavracijo Čubr, kitajsko restavracijo Hong Kong 2, italijansko restavracijo Dal forno, ter ljudsko restavracijo Hram Gorjan.
