Hiša Pliska, a beautifully restored stone house, preserves the essence of traditional Karst architecture while offering all the comfort you need. This charming and surprisingly spacious cottage features a cosy apartment on the first floor with a large terrace — the perfect spot to soak in the authentic spirit of the region. It’s ideal for families, hikers, or cyclists, and suits both active adventurers and those in search of peace and quiet. From the house’s courtyard, you can easily explore the surroundings on foot, by bike, motorbike, or car. Hiša Pliska is a great starting point for discovering western Slovenia: the Karst plateau, the North Primorska region, and even the Mediterranean coast are all within reach. For those who don’t mind getting their hands a little dirty, the owners invite you to help mow their hidden vineyard plot during the summer. Or you can simply unwind — picnic in the meadow, breathe in the tranquil Karst air, and end your day with a magical bath under the stars. ➤ Pets are welcome with prior notice for an additional fee. A maximum of 2 pets up to a maximum weight of 15kg are allowed as long as they are used to outdoor cleanliness and raised not to defecate in the accommodation. We also expect them not to cause damage to the accommodation's equipment or inventory. Please do not lie on the beds or sofas, and do not defecate in the yard or inside the apartment.

Discover the charm of Pliskovica — affectionately known as the "bird village," thanks to the many locals whose surnames echo the names of birds. Get a feel for everyday life here by walking the Pliska Trail, which weaves through the village and its surroundings. Along the way, uncover the little quirks that make this place special: the symbolic Trellis of European Friendship honouring ties with all 25 EU member states, the old communal village well, the Church of St. Thomas, and excellent local wineries offering Teran — affectionately known as the “healing wine.” You’ll also meet local artisans, like the stonemason and the beekeeper, who keep tradition alive. The magical underworld of Karst is just around the corner — explore the fairy-tale caves of Vilenica, Škocjan, and Postojna.
