Hello and welcome! We are your hosts in a charming Istrian stone house, surrounded by peace, nature, and a touch of authenticity. Our wish is for you to feel truly at home here – relaxed, connected to the surroundings, and far from the everyday rush. We care for the house and garden with love, growing our own fruit and vegetables, which we gladly share with our guests. What brings us the most joy is seeing guests leave with a smile and warm memories that last well beyond their holiday.

The Holiday Stone House is historic and more than 160 years old renovated traditional Istrian house, situated in a very picturesque Istrian village Marezige, just 10 km away from Koper (10 minutes by car) and 11 km from the beach. Our proprety is in the middle of peaceful and green mediterannean countryside, surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, where you can really enjoy the sound of nature and the beautiful view of the night sky. The house has two separate accommodations (Apartment with Terrace (Apartment Orange) and Deluxe Apartment (Apartment Lemon)), with similar room layouts. Each accommodation has its own entrance and two floors: on the ground floor is the bathroom, the living room with a sofa bed, flat-screen TV and well-equipped kitchen. The bedroom with a king-size bed is located upstairs. Free Wi-Fi is included and the private parking is just next to the house. Through the living room door you have access to the sun terrace, where you can relax with your drink, reading, surfing the internet or just enjoying listening to the birds singing and breathing fresh air. You have also possibility to use barbecue and sunbathing on sunbeds. From the terrace you have access to a large enclosed garden with fruit trees, olive trees, roses, fragrant spices and some tasty vegetables. In the summer you can also pick organically grown tomatoes and cucumbers from the garden and make a delicious salad. 🐶 Well-behaved small and medium-sized dogs are welcome, provided they do not have any behavioral problems (such as aggression towards people or dogs, separation anxiety, etc.) and used to cleanliness. Please note that here may also be other dogs nearby, so we kindly ask that you ensure your dog behaves calmly and respectfully towards others. This will help ensure that all guests, including their pups, enjoy a peaceful and pleasant stay.

The centre of Marezige is less than 1 km away – there you will find local shop and resturant, where you can enjoy in typical food of Istria. There is also the slovenian first wine fountain and the spectacular view of the gulf of Koper and Trieste, the Alps and Dolomites. Marezige is also known as the Land of vine Refosco. If you fancy a short, relaxing walk in nature, you don't need to get in the car. A fairy-tale trail runs alongside the house, past the woods, to a small stream. Of course, there are many other trails in the area suitable for hiking, cycling and exploring the charms of Istria. You can also visit the nearby old town of Koper (10 km), Izola (15km) and Piran (25 km), and many famous sights which are within an hour away: Muggia (20 km), Trieste and Castle Miramare (30 km), The Škocjan Caves Park (38 km), Lipica - the home of the Lipizzan horses (35 km), Postojna cave and Castle Predjama (63 km), Ljubljana (105 km). We recommend that you arrive in Marezige via Koper (Koper - Vanganel - Babiči – Marezige).
