Only 25km out of Ljubljana, in a middle of the pine and spruce woods, with a mixture of Mediteranean and Alpine air flow at the 800m (2600ft) above the sea level. It is characterized by a unique climate, which has been known since 1930 as a health resort for respiratory diseases. Our guests will be able to enjoy birds singing, fresh air, excellent water quality, hiking or biking, or just having a barbecue on the terrase. Only 10 minutes walking away, there's a lake with a water warm enough to swim or fishing. And we have to brag a bit: Rakitna has an EXCELLENT water quality that you can drink it from a tap!
We will be at your disposal 24/7 via phone and if needed (eventual repairs needed, case of emergency, etc) we'll come on spot at shortest possible time.
Rakitna is perfectly located for one day trips arround sLOVEnia with all of it's pearls. Would it be Ljubljana (25mins by car), Postojna cave (25mins car), Lake Bled (approx 1 hour), Technical museum Bistra (20km) or Slovenian coast (approx. 1 hour). A starting point for hiking and mountain biking is just out of the front door of our cottage. Close by (20km) a Technical museum Bistra is based.
