In Idrija you can visit the second largest mercury mine in the world. In the nearby area we have mysterious karstic lake "Divje jezero". The emerald green surface of the lake is usually idyllic and peaceful, but only a few days of strong rainfall and the water starts spewing out of the siphon. In the center of Idrija we also have lace school and Gewerkenegg castle. Inside the museum you can find various exhibitions.
