The surrounding area offers exceptional access to some of the most beautiful natural attractions in northern Slovenia and is an excellent choice for lovers of mountains, hiking, and tranquility. Approximately a 25‑minute drive away lies the Logar Valley, one of Slovenia’s most iconic alpine valleys, home to the impressive Rinka Waterfall. Nearby you can also explore the quieter glacial valleys of Robanov Kot and Matkov Kot, both known for their peaceful atmosphere, dramatic landscapes, and towering rock walls. These valleys are ideal for relaxed walks, photography, and escaping the crowds. For more active visitors, the area offers excellent opportunities for mountain hiking and more demanding tours, including routes towards the Bivak pod Skuto and into the heart of the Kamnik–Savinja Alps. Stunning panoramic views await on Mount Raduha, while Ledeniški vrh (approximately a 53‑minute drive) is considered one of the most scenic viewpoints in the region. Another nearby natural highlight is the Bukovnik Primeval Forest, the largest preserved primeval forest in Slovenia. Velika Planina, located about a 39‑minute drive away, is famous for its unique shepherds’ huts, open alpine pastures, and breathtaking views that captivate visitors throughout all seasons.
