Timeless Barn Deer Apartment is a large and cozy two-bedroom apartment in a lovingly renovated historic old barn from 1894, located in a quiet countryside setting just outside Ljubljana. The apartment offers 120 m² of space over two levels. Downstairs, you’ll find a open plan living area with high ceilings, wooden beams, and a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher. There is one modern bathroom with a shower and washer-dryer. Upstairs are two comfortable, air-conditioned bedrooms. Free Wi-Fi is available, Guests are welcome to relax in the outdoor corners around the house, use basic bicycles for short trips, and pick seasonal fruit or vegetables from the garden when available. A coffee machine is also available. The apartment is only 5 km from Ljubljana city center and 3 minutes from the highway. We are happy to offer parking directly in front of the apartment. A low beam at the top of the stairs is part of the barn’s original charm. Please note: Pets are welcome, and a small additional fee applies. Please note that the parking area is not suitable for motorhomes or large vans. At the top of the stairs, one charming old wooden beam sits a bit low. Taller guests might need to duck for a second to avoid a bump – just a little nod to the barn’s history.

We live close to the apartment and will welcome you on arrival, sharing tips on the best things to see in Ljubljana and beyond. My husband and daughter also help take care of guests, so we’re always around if you need advice. The apartment has a guidebook full of local hints, and around the property you can pick fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables or help yourself to what’s already harvested — a little taste of our garden and rural life!

The apartment is located on the western edge of Ljubljana, just 5 km from the old city center, with easy access to the motorway. You’ll enjoy a calm, setting that feels like the countryside, yet the city is never far away. The neighborhood has a rural village vibe — a mix of family homes and small farms. From time to time you might spot a tractor passing by or hear the hum of other farm equipment — all part of the authentic village charm! Some of the old buildings haven’t been renovated yet, which adds to the rustic character of the area. Please note, there are no bars or restaurants within walking distance, so this is a perfect spot for those who enjoy quiet, relaxing surroundings
