The house is set in a quiet part of the village and was updated a few years ago (we lived there ourselves for a while). It has big living spaces, a wood stove and a nice outdoor seating area.
After 10 years living in Slovenia, I am a big fan of its people, culture and amazing scenery. It is also a very modern and safe country to visit - you don't really have to lock the door!
The village of Mojstrana is in a classic Alpine setting, with high peaks in the background and easy access to both gentle hiking and dramatic high level routes You can walk to Triglav from here, or just head up the Vrata valley for some stunning views. This area is spectacular in the winter too. The village has its own ski slope and there are several ski centres with half an hours drive.
