A 300 years old house with wide stone walls is located in a quiet village surrounded by unspoiled nature. It has 25m2 and it has everything you need. You can enjoy your morning coffee in front of the house and later head out for a relaxing walk. There are also numerous hiking and cycling trails in the area. If you love nature and tranquility, this is the perfect getaway for you. The house is suitable for 2 adults and 1 or 2 children. A shop is a 5-minute drive away, and the town of Nova Gorica is 15 minutes away. River Soča on the other side of the hill 15 min away. The parking is infront of the house. This house has also extension, which was built in the 80’ and it is still to fix.
We are a couple living in this beautiful village. We are sharing passion for old house and furniture as well as interior design which is also our job. We have a son who loves this village freedom. The house we are renting is Kristinas birth house, thats why we put so much efford in to it an we would like to share it with our guests, who also love this kind of living. We like to travel and living our best life.
The village Grgarske Ravne is on Banjsice Plateau. Its somewhere in the middle, so you can quickly reach the city, but in the other hand it is still very clean and unspoiled. Through the year, there are quite a few events linked to tradition and customs. One of the main ones is our Carnival celebration. We preserve a distinctive local mask known as the *PUSTAR* or *lLAUFAR*. The costume features an outfit made of cut strips and a hat adorned with strips of paper or fabric, flowers, and bells; also carries some kind of long wooden scissors,used to catch young women and drive away winter.
