Situated in the heart of the Slovenian capital Ljubljana, the Saint Ignatius Retreat House is a place of utter peace and tranquillity. The Retreat House (1925) was built in the quiet Poljane district, in the near vicinity of the Ljubljana Castle and the old town, according to the blueprints of the renowned Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik. A stone's throw away from it lies the Golovec Hill, ideal not only for relaxation but for remaining physically fit as well. The flower enthusiasts will find the Ljubljana University Botanic Gardens with its many benches and hidden spots conveniently close. The neat park coloured in emerald green by the woods of the nearby Ljubljana Castle and Golovec Hill makes the Saint Ignatius Retreat House an appropriate place for everybody who longs to stop for a moment, take a look around, see how they feel, and to hear God's encouraging voice.

Property info

Saint Ignatius Retreat house is a catholic retreat house aimed at offering space for Christian spiritual programs. However, it also offers rooms to other guests when the programs are not running. We are in an immediate vicinity of the city centre just below the castle hill. We have a beautiful garden and we are very close to nature. In spite of being in the centre it is a very quiet place. We have a beautiful chapel and there is a mass in English available every Sunday. A parking area is available to our guests.
