Our family first came to La Somone over 25 years ago for a peaceful beach holiday on the Petite Côte in Senegal. From this experience grew a deep connection to the region, its warm hospitality (Teranga), its nature, and local life. Over time, this personal connection developed into a desire to create a place where guests can experience the same peace, authenticity, and quality of life that inspired us. Today, we operate the accommodation with a personal, family-run approach and aim to offer our guests a relaxed and authentic stay. The property is part of a privately managed boutique residence with several independent units.

Property info

This 500 m² private villa spans three floors and accommodates up to 22 guests. As part of a boutique-managed residence, it combines the privacy of a villa with the benefits of on-site support. The villa features nine bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and four kitchens and kitchenettes spread across several independent living areas. The interiors combine rosewood furnishings with handcrafted local design elements. Air conditioning, WiFi, and ceiling fans provide comfort in the main living and sleeping areas. Outdoor facilities include a swimming pool, terraces, patios, a veranda, loggias, a barbecue area, and a landscaped garden with local birdlife. The villa is supported by an on-site team. Housekeeping is included, and a night guard is present daily from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. Breakfast can be added on request. For larger groups, dinner is also available on request.

La Somone is located on the Petite Côte in Senegal, about 40 minutes south of Dakar. The region is known for its relaxed atmosphere, warm hospitality (Teranga), fresh seafood, sunsets, and local craftsmanship. The beach is about a five-minute walk away and is suitable for swimming, walking, and sunbathing. The nearby lagoon is a protected nature reserve that can be explored by pirogue. Additional beaches can be found in Somone, Ngaparou, and Saly. A wide range of activities is available in the area, including jet skiing, surfing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, fishing, quad biking, horseback riding on the beach, and ziplining in the Baobab forest. Nearby amenities include shops, markets, bakeries, pharmacies, and medical services, including a small clinic approximately 100 meters away. The fish market in Mbour and additional services in Saly and Ngaparou are 10–15 minutes away. Taxis and shared taxis connect the area with surrounding towns and Dakar.
