So beautiful! I woke up early to go for a long walk and really enjoyed the scenery. We were en route back to Botswana and could only stay one night, unfortunately.

Company info

Jonathan and Helen Pons have been committed to Eswatini since 1997. Jonathan's primary calling has been to the Good Shepherd Mission Hospital in Siteki where he works as an Opthalmologist. He heads an ambitious project in Eswatini that fights blindness. At Good Shepherd Hospital, nearly 1000 blind people receive their sight each year! Helen manages the B&B as well as farm administration. Jonathan and Helen are both active Christians and are involved in many community projects. The family ownership of the farm goes back to the 1930's when Carl Todd (Helen's grandfather) bought the farm. Since Siteki was a regional government centre at an altitude above the malaria zone, it attracted many farmers and administrators. The town is home to 20 000 people, has a wonderful climate and still malaria free!

Property info

Mabuda Guest Farm, known as the "Place of Dreams" is a romantic farm enthroned atop the beautiful Lebombo Mountains. A place where time stands still. A place where the wind whispers tales of bygone days and the dust clouds drift like shadows behind the old Ford tractors. Accommodation ranges from camping to comfortable rondavels and chalets with magnificent views. The beauty and tranquillity of the surrounding farm life, is definitely one of the best features. The farm forms part of the Lubombo Conservancy, well renowned for its large variety of indigenous bush, birdlife, insects and frogs. This can be enjoyed on any of our farm walks or horseback rides. Choose from our traditional 1930's-style rondavels, with authentic period decor, or one of our chalets (accommodating up to 4 people each) all with spectacular mountainous views. We also offer facilities for up to 12 back-packers and camp sites with water, electricity, BBQ facilities.

Neighborhood info

We are situated 1km outside the small town of Siteki atop a spur of the Lubombo Mountain Range. En route to Mozambique, Kruger Park and St Lucia; we make the perfect stop-over point for travellers passing through. The Siteki bus rank is 1km away from the B&B accommodation.
