Life has a way of leading you in unexpected directions. My journey has taken me from serving as a US Marine to working as an electrical engineer and finally to my true calling: sustainable farming. Tantai Farm is my life’s work and where I’ve chosen to plant my roots permanently. I love sharing this space with guests who are curious about nature, and I’m dedicated to ensuring you feel the same peace and purpose here that led me to build this sanctuary.

Tantai Farm began in 2007 as a dream for retirement, but it has grown into something much more meaningful: a "Forest of Food." Since 2015, we have been reshaping our land using Permaculture and Natural Farming principles to create a thriving ecosystem. What started as a private retreat opened its doors to the world in 2016, welcoming volunteers and travelers alike. Today, guests can enjoy our Cafe, natural fish and lotus ponds, and a swimming pool—all tucked away in a landscape designed for discovery. Whether you are here to relax or to learn about sustainable living, our farm offers a peaceful escape where nature and agriculture live in harmony. Our ultimate goal is to become a community learning center, sharing the wisdom of organic and alternative farming with the next generation.

Pak Chong is the vibrant gateway to the Isan region and the doorstep to one of Thailand’s greatest natural treasures. Our farm is located just a short drive from the UNESCO World Heritage site: Dong Phayayen-Khao Yai Forest Complex. The Jewel of the Area: Khao Yai National Park The campsite and main gates of Thailand's first national park are approximately 40 km from Tantai Farm. It is a world-class destination for eco-conscious travelers, offering: Diverse Wildlife: It is one of the few places in Thailand where you can still see wild elephants in their natural habitat, along with gibbons, hornbills, and over 300 species of birds. Iconic Waterfalls: The park features the famous Haew Narok (the tallest in the park) and Haew Suwat, which gained international fame in the movie The Beach. Mountain Peaks: For hikers, the park offers trails leading to peaks like Khao Rom, reaching 1,351 meters above sea level, providing cooler temperatures year-round. Night Safaris: For a unique experience, the park offers ranger-led night tours to spot nocturnal wildlife. Local Culture and Atmosphere Beyond the park, Pak Chong hosts a variety of vineyards, local dairy farms, and organic markets that reflect the region’s agricultural heart. The area is perfect for those who wish to enjoy nature responsibly—leaving only footprints and taking only memories.
