This homestay is located by the Nan River, offering a camp-style experience amidst nature and the relaxed, rural lifestyle of Nan. **The cabin house is a small wooden house with a transparent roof, a comfortable bed, clean and warm blankets, and beautiful decor in a glamping style, like sleeping in the middle of the forest.** **The riverside cottage/cottage house is constructed entirely of red brick and wood, offering a warm, stable, and beautiful atmosphere with 180-degree river views.** Breakfast is included, and dinner is available for an additional 200 baht per person, featuring local, pesticide-free ingredients from the surrounding area. Our accommodation is situated by the river in a natural forest at the edge of the village, perfect for nature lovers and those who appreciate tranquility.
The owners are an artistic couple who moved to build a house by the Nan River with the intention of making The River Runs a nature-loving and environmentally conscious retreat. We are a peaceful place to stay, interested in the people and the environment of the area. We offer activities that we do with the locals, such as hiking, ox cart rides, rafting, massage, cooking, and folk art. We love art, nature, coffee, music, and people, and we want to learn new things that travelers share. We recommend spending at least two nights here to fully immerse yourself in nature and relax.
The River Runs is located in the smallest district of Nan province. We are at the end of a small village surrounded by rice fields, the Nan River, mountains, birds, and insects. It offers cultural and community-based attractions that still maintain their traditional way of life. You can cycle, tub, hike, stroll, and take photos in the rice fields in front of the house. It is accessible by bus from Bangkok to Chiang Klang and Chiang Mai to Chiang Klang, getting off at Chiang Klang Municipal Market, which is only 3 kilometers from the accommodation.
