Tonmai Suites is located on the main road (aka the ‘walking street’) in Lanta Old Town, on the Eastern side of Koh Lanta Yai. Tonmai has a number of spacious suites available as well as some bungalows for the more budget conscious. We take great pride in our newly renovated private garden, where you will find various tropical plants, flowers, and trees. There is nothing like it around this area, and we find ourselves constantly adding to it. It is perfect for a relaxing day or night in with both shaded and sun seating areas. The main hotel building has a large balcony that wraps around the exterior – the perfect place to take in the picturesque mountain and seascapes that reveal small karsts and fishing boats scattered across the horizon looking out over to the eastern islands and beyond to Trang. We provide accommodations only and do not have a restaurant onsite. But rest assured Old Town has no shortage of places to eat or grab a drink. We have some terrific recommendations for you to indulge in during your stay here in Old Town. All the storefronts, bars, and restaurants start less than a minute walk away.

Lanta Old Town is located on the Eastern side of Lanta Yai. You will be in the heart of this unique, charming village filled with clusters of teak houses on stilts overlooking the sea. These ancestral homes, dating back hundreds of years, have been converted into restaurants, cafes, shops, along with commercial space, and yet they have withstood the test of time retaining their original structure and design. Lanta Old Town is full of history and reveals both the Thai and Chinese cultures and influence that has been well preserved here.
